Our Team
We are a strong multidisciplinary team with expertise in all relevant areas (including business management, fundraising, programming, chemistry and not for profit relationship building). Brett has worked with all members of our team at different times and is confident of their ability to work together to deliver on their respective accountabilities.
Brett Samuel is a commercial law and philosophy student at Sydney University as well as a serial entrepreneur. Amongst other things, having run a retail pool business before, Brett has extensive experience with pool water analysis. This experience will be advantageous to our operations. Brett is jointly responsible for managing and leading our team with a focus on the administration, finances, and logistics.
Peter Evans is an information technology expert. By day, Peter jointly runs a computer support business with Brett. By night, Peter pushes the frontiers of technology developing programs that use computers in new and exciting ways. Peter has previously worked with Brett in Rotaract, a not for profit organisation. Peter is jointly responsible for managing and leading our team with a focus on the research and technology development.
Dr Niko Tiliopoulos BSc(Hons), MRes/Dip, PhD, CSci: is a lecturer, researcher and museum curator at Sydney University. Niko is a world renowned expert on individual differences and recently organised the 8th Australasian Conference on Personality and Individual Differences. Niko will be using his expertise with statistics to give advice on data collection and interpretation.
Valentina Cupac BCom, BSc: is a student at Sydney University specialising in Mathematics, Programming and Finance. Valentina's interests include Bayesian Algorithms and Neural Networks. Valentina will work with Peter to develop the colour comparison program that will be used to test water. Once this is done she will work with Niko to develop the statistical backend..
Errol Samuel BSc, MSc, Dip Mgmt: is a chemical engineer and an authority on water. In 2000, Errol was made an Australian Water Association life member, an honour given to members who, through long and distinguished service (10 years plus), made a major contribution to the water industry. Errol will advise on water analysis and provide contacts.
Wei Ni Samuel BSc(Hons), Cur MBA: is a biochemistry medical researcher by day and an MBA student by night. Wei Ni has experience working a research environment, conducting experiments and applying for grants. Wei Ni has extensive experience in fundraising as her current employer is a not for profit organisation. Wei Ni is responsible for the research part of this project as well as getting grants and liaising with other not for profit organisations.
